Closed aluminum profile for high torsional stiffness – Our bridge axes move the heaviest loads

Our bridge axes HB are equipped with a specially designed aluminum extruded profile that is self-contained and provided with stiffeners. The linear module, which is particularly resistant to bending and torsion, is particularly suitable for the continuous movement of large masses with the highest demands on dynamic response. Depending on the application, our heavy-duty axes can be configured with three different types of drive: toothed belt, linear motor and rack and pinion drive.

With a payload of up to 350 kg and 10 times the torsional stiffness of our table axes, even the heaviest loads can be moved over long distances without support.  Whether for fast handling and accurate positioning of large automotive components, large-format wood and glass components, or for the dynamic and repeatable high-performance assembly of battery modules, in the packaging industry or in linking and loading systems – countless heavy-duty applications can be realized.

The linear modules can be configured with a stroke that can be freely selected in millimetre steps over a total length of up to 5 m, with a limit switch or encoder system. In individual cases, overlengths of up to 16 m can also be specified. We are happy to assist you in combining the drive versions and also in creating complete motion systems with motor adapter, motor and controller selection.
