Bridge axis for foam production

Our bridge axis is used in a production process for the manufacture of polyurethane (PUR) foams. It is used to guide the screwing unit to mold cavities with subsequent screwing of this mold.

The system used here consists of a horizontal bridge axis with belt drive HB-B and a vertically operating cantilever axis with rack and pinion drive HC150R attached to it. Compared to our HT table axes, our bridge axes are characterized by their 10 times higher rigidity while maintaining a compact and lightweight design. The use of the rack and pinion drive of the cantilever offers, among other things, the advantage of high feed forces, high speeds and precise guidance of the screw unit. Due to the large-sized cavities, the transverse axis has to overcome large cantilevered surfaces. The Z-axis works in cantilever operation and holds a fully automatic screwdriving unit ready, while the transverse axis takes over the positioning of the cantilever. The HC150R has the task of accurately screwing the individual screw points of the cavity.

Our bridge axes move the heaviest loads precisely while meeting the highest demands on dynamic response.

Requirements:
