The goal: A more precise and quieter application. With the help of our drive technology, the X-axis of a 3D printer was converted from a sliding guide to a linear guide.
Especially at high traversing speeds, the 3D printer with a standard built-in sliding guide repeatedly experienced unwanted vibrations. Precise printing results were hardly possible at this point. By converting to a linear guide from our MGN series, movement is now absolutely silent and the print quality has been significantly improved.
Among other things, the 3D printer has already been used to print trophies for the winners of the regional short film festival “Shorts” at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
